Getting Started - January 2015

Starting on January 1, 2015, this blog will cover the changes that occur in our Rain & Wildlife Garden here in Marietta, Georgia. Somewhat of an experiment that hopefully will capture the beauty of our themed garden beds, while highlighting the hard work of our volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping this small patch of earth alive and viable for pollinators, small birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, and the occasional amphibian. Of course, a big part of this project are the rain gardens, which capture storm water runoff so that it absorbs into the ground before it enters nearby streams.

Enjoy the photo journal that will come throughout the year, displaying the phenology, or responses to seasonal changes, of our garden.
